Olympic Torch visits The Falkirk Wheel

Thousands turned out to see the Olympic Torch sail through The Falkirk Wheel in style today (Wednesday 13th June).

The sun shone, the local choir sang, schoolchildren cheered and a shower of fireworks rained down on the water as the Wheel turned slowly with the Olympic Torch carried aloft the two thirds scale puffer, The Maryhill.

If you enjoyed today or couldn't make it along, don't forget our tenth anniversary celebrations on Saturday 7th July. Wheel 10 will feature an exciting programme of on water and land activities, music and dance.

It's shaping up to be a great summer to visit The Falkirk Wheel.
