Location: The Falkirk Wheel
We require a Duty Manager at The Falkirk Wheel to cover our busy
Summer period. The position is available immediately and finishes
on 31 October 2012.
The main responsibilities of this role are overseeing the day to
day operations of The Falkirk Wheel ensuring customer service
standards and commercial targets are met. Working as a critical
part of the management team, key elements of the role include
managing the front of house teams, security, cash handling and
ensuring the safe management of the site is met to both internal
and external health and safety standards.
You would be required to monitor and evaluate service levels and
performance in accordance with defined standards, identify areas
for development and action improvements.
The ideal candidate would be flexible in attitude and working
hours (including weekends and evening working), proactive, able to
work under own supervision, set goals and objectives, to lead by
example in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting
colleagues and constantly seeking business performance improvement.
Experience within a leisure/ visitor attraction or customer service
industry is desirable and line management experience is essential.
A background in retail, education, community or volunteer working
would also be useful.
A qualification in First Aid and an HNC or equivalent in
Leisure/ Tourism/ Business Management is preferred but not
essential.
