Scottish Canals recognises the important role Fort William
plays in drawing tourist to the Lochaber Area. The Caledonian Canal
is the gateway to the Great Glen Way for boaters, walkers, cyclists
and paddlers. The Caledonian Canal and the settlements adjacent to
the canal have a critical role to play in enhancing the canal as a
destination.
We wish to engage closely with canalside communities from
Corpach to Gairlochy to develop opportunities for canalside
improvements and developments.
