Litter Clearing Forth and Clyde canal Kirkintilloch

Volunteers clear litter at Kirkintilloch

24 Jun 2011

A successful day's litter picking was carried out at Kirkintilloch on the Forth and Clyde canal. Volunteers supported by Linton McBurnie Volunteer coordinator British Waterways Scotland gathered at the Seagull Trust boat house and cleared litter from the towpath in the area.

Local volunteers joined forces at Kirkintilloch on the Forth and Clyde canal to clear litter from the canal towpath. Seven volunteers worked both east and west of the main canal road bridge in Kirkintilloch to clear the litter and eight full refuse bags were filled.

Well done to all of our volunteers for turning out to help in heavy rain and very strong winds
