The Falkirk Wheel Maintenance

The Falkirk Wheel is currently closed for maintenance, however our Visitor Centre is open Wednesday - Sunday, so be sure to pop in and see us!

Fishing

Relax on the canal bank and see what's biting. Each of Scotland's canals offers distinctive fishing opportunities and there are plenty of options whether you are looking for free fishing or to buy a licence.

Caledonian Canal

The canal and its lochs - Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Dochfour - are excellent for salmon and sea trout.

Crinan Canal

The Crinan Canal is well known amongst fisherman as the ideal spot for a bit of fly fishing.
