Rowantree Embankment number 10 on the Forth and Clyde Canal has been identified as a high risk embankment as set out in our Asset Management Strategy 2018-30.

In March 2021 we will be undertaking investigations at three sites along the embankment. This requires us to use drilling equipment and plant machinery – meaning there will be restrictions on the towpath during the works. Investigations works will begin on Monday 15th March and will last for 5 days. During this time, towpath users will be guided safely around the works, with no towpath closure in place.

This page will be updated as works progress.
