The Kelpies Lighting

Our magnificent Kelpies are undergoing essential maintenance in their 10th anniversary year. As part of our ongoing investment in these iconic structures, we will be upgrading and repairing the lighting to ensure they are brighter and more colourful than ever before. With a £75,000 investment the works will also allow The Kelpies to mirror light ups with our other top tourist attraction, the world’s only rotating boat lift, The Falkirk Wheel and be more energy efficient. We apologise for any disappointment while the works are being carried out, but we are keen that both Duke and Baron look great all year round. Works are expected to be complete by 6th September 2024.

 

UPDATE 16/9/2024: Commissioning and testing works are ongoing meaning some aspects of the lighting may be abnormal. Thank you for your patience and we will be up and running as soon as possible.

 

UPDATE 9/9/2024: Due to a short delay, the works are now anticipated to be completed on Friday 13th September. We appreciate your patience as we carry out these essential upgrades.
