‘Re-imagining 18th century infrastructure to address flood risk, stimulate investment & tackle health inequalities’ is a facilitated TedX-style panel discussion with leaders senior representatives from Scottish Canals, Glasgow City Council, Scottish Water, housing associations, Glasgow Caledonian University and SIMD community groups.

The hour-long in-person and online event will feature an introduction from Patrick Harvie MSP, Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights, followed by a 45 minute discussion with our panel on how the Glasgow Smart Canal can support other towns and cities worldwide to adapt historic canal infrastructure and make local communities resilient to the effects of climate change as well as acting as a catalyst for wider economic and social benefits.

There will be a 15 minute Q&A session at the end of the event for questions from the audience. Join the discussion & ask a question using #CanalsDoCOP26 on social media.
