How do I book?

How do I pay?
You can pay over the phone via credit/debit card or BACS.
What if I need to cancel?
Bookings that are cancelled less than 48 hours from the booked activity date will be charged at the full rate. Cancellations with more than 48 hours notice will receive full refund. If you need to amend your booking please give us 48 hours notice.
What if I am under 16?
Under 16s must have parental consent. This can be done on the day by parent or guardian or download the parental consent form and bring along this with you. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Do I need to be able to swim?
No, but water confidence is required for all water activities.
Please also take the following into consideration when participating in water activities:
- Avoid swallowing water if possible
- Cover cuts and grazes with waterproof plasters
- Remember to wash your hands before eating or handling food
- Wash clothing after activities
If you suffer any ill effects after being in the water, inform your doctor immediately.
What should I bring?
We suggest you bring the following items of clothing with you:
- Windproof / Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Warm layers of clothing (ideally no jeans)
- Medication (e.g. Asthma inhalers, Epi-Pens. Please inform Activity Leaders on arrival)
- Protection against the weather e.g. hat, gloves, cap, sun cream
- Full change of clothing
For all water activities please also bring swim wear, towel and old pair of trainers. No flip-flops or sandals please.
For land based activities we suggest you wear walking boots.
How fit to I need to be?
A basic level of fitness is required for all activities.
Are there weight restrictions?
Yes. For most activities weight restrictions apply. If you are over 18 stone, please contact us to discuss.
How long does the activity last?
Our water activities range from 1-2 hours. This duration includes safety briefing, kitting up and walking to the launch site. Our land activities range from 1 to 2 hours. Please see individual activity for exact duration.
All equipment provided will be fit for purpose and inspected daily.
Staff Competence and Qualifications
All staff will either hold relevant national governing body qualification, or a statement of competence signed off by an appropriately experienced or qualified person.
Adult and Child Protection Policy
All Activity Leaders are registered with the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG).
What facilities do you provide?
There are public toilets, a nearby café, classroom space, picnic tables and ample parking. Please note we do not have male and female changing rooms or showers at present.
Do you provide food?
Yes, you can pre-book lunches which include sandwiches, drinks, crisps, chocolate and fruit. For larger groups we can offer buffet style lunches . Located next door the Dug Café offers light snacks, tea and coffee.
