Bowling Basin Masterplan Exhibition – Drop in Event

Pop in to Bowling Village Hall to view the final proposals for the Bowling Basin Masterplan, which will be submitted for planning shortly.

The masterplan has been shaped by a long process of consultation and engagement with the local community via a series of collaborative design workshops, known as charrettes, and various other events.

Scottish Canals and members of the design team will be on hand to explain the proposals and advise people how they can comment on the applications once submitted to West Dunbartonshire Council.

View the Masterplan, and take a look at the Bowling Basin website for more information.

Bowling Basin

Bowling Basin is a popular location on the lowland canal network with a wonderful outlook over the Clyde Estuary. It encompasses a wide range of interests including historic listed structures, the western entrance into the Forth & Clyde Canal, National Cycle Route 7, a natural woodland area and its very own beach.

But Bowling Basin can be so much more. Potential exists to transform the area into a destination worthy of the strategic position that it occupies within the canal network. Any change needs to be sensitively managed and Scottish Canals are committed to working with the local community and stakeholder groups to achieve an outcome for this and future generations that everyone can be proud of.
