Big steps for little people! The Royal Bank of Scotland Kiltwalk is a unique Scottish charity event where every penny raised goes towards supporting Scotland’s children.
The Glasgow event is the biggest Kiltwalk of the year and takes place on Sunday 24 April 2016 with three separate walks, The Mighty Stride which is a smidge under twenty six miles, The Big Stroll which is over fourteen miles in length and The Wee Wander which is three laps of Balloch Country Park comprising a total of just over 6 miles.
The Mighty Stride
Starting off from Hampden Park, the Mighty Stride has two start times, 9:00am and 9:30am. The Mighty Stride winds its way through the South Side into Glasgow Green and follows the Clyde westwards through the city centre. At Yoker, the Mighty Stride joins National Cycle Route 7 and continues on through West Dunbartonshire to the finish line on the banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch.
The Big Stroll
The 14 mile Big Stroll begins at 11:00am in Clydebank and then continues through Bowling, Dumbarton and Vale of Leven to the finish line in Loch Lomond.
The Wee Wander
The Wee Wander, which is 6 miles long, starts at 12:00pm and begins and ends at Moss O Balloch park.
