Record Breaking Earth Hour at The Helix

Earth Hour

Along with other landmarks across the country and globe, the iconic Kelpies lights will be switched off between 8.30pm – 9.30pm as part of Earth Hour celebrations.

Entertainment will be taking place to mark the occasion with performances from Glenbervie Band and Sambalistic.

We are also looking to set a new Guinness World record for ‘the Most people performing a yoga pose in front of an iconic venue’ (why not?!)

Those who wish to take part MUST register their details on the night with us so we have an accurate count for the record setting. And don’t worry, the yoga poses will be super easy so everyone can do it, whatever age (or flexibility!).

It would certainly be something to boast about when we all get in the record books..

Check out The Helix website for more details.

WWF Earth Hour

WWF’s Earth Hour is an annual global celebration where people switch off their lights for one hour to show they care about the future of our planet.

This year’s celebrations will be on Saturday 19 March from 8.30pm to 9.30pm. To take part, all you need to do is sign up and switch off your lights for that one hour.

It’s a symbolic and spectacular lights out display with a big message – we want to protect the future of our planet!
