Sky Ride Local are free, fully guided, recreational bike rides organised in partnership between British Cycling, Glasgow Council and Sky.
You will pass through the towns of Clydebank and Dumbarton as well as some smaller settlements that link their bigger neighbours.
There are plenty of places to get refreshments at half distance in Balloch, but why not bring a little picnic to enjoy on the shores of Loch Lomond.
Throughout the route there is an impression of a rural landscape with a huge amount of history along the way.
If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, then this challenging ride is perfect for you. The challenging rides start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.
