Don't miss out on your chance to be one of the few people to step beyond the barriers of The Falkirk Wheel, setting foot in areas not usually open to the public on our Internal Engineering tours.

The 90 minute guided tour, which departs from The Falkirk Wheel Visitor Centre, will take you through the conception, history and design of the structure before going inside The Wheel to learn more about the mechanics and engineering of the world's only rotating boat lift.

As you ascend through each level of The Wheel, our guides will reveal the secrets and inner workings of each platform before you top out the hatch on the upper aqueduct giving you a unique birds eye view. You will then get the chance to ask your burning questions about the world’s only rotating boat lift as our staff conclude the tour leading you back to the Visitors Centre.

Please note that this tour includes vertical ladders, which you must be able to climb comfortably to take part. Please read the terms and conditions for the tours before making your booking.
