Caledonian Canal reopened to road traffic at Laggan Bridge

Laggan Bridge has reopened to both road and boat traffic.

A temporary solution has been put in place to allow traffic to flow whilst the fault is being repaired.

Laggan Bridge has reopened to road traffic. The bridge remains closed to boat traffic while BEAR Scotland and Scottish Canals’ engineering teams investigate the issue.

Laggan Bridge on the Caledonian Canal is currently closed to road and boat traffic due to a mechanical failure. Engineers from BEAR Scotland, who maintain the bridge, are currently on site. An update will be provided once the initial assessment is carried out.
