The Crinan Canal has reopened following a temporary closure this morning due to high water levels.
The local team worked overnight to reduce the water levels but, as it is not advisable for boats to be moving while this is happening, the canal was closed for three hours this morning to allow the work to be completed.
Given further heavy rain forecast this evening and overnight, we will continue to monitor water levels. Please note that customers transiting the Crinan during this time may face delays.
