Fault on Torvean Swing Bridge

Update Friday 3rd June 2022

Scottish Canals has been made aware that Torvean Bridge, Inverness is now fully functional.

Boat movements are now able to take place through the bridge.

Update Thursday 2nd June 2022

On Thursday 2nd June 2022, Scottish Canals were made aware that a fault had occurred on a third-party bridge which passes over the Caledonian Canal.

Torvean Bridge in Inverness is currently closed to both traffic on the road and the canal.

We will work closely with our colleagues at Highland Council to have the bridge operational as soon as possible.
