Temporary stop to boat movements through Laggan Locks

Update 12th June 2022

Following the settling of high winds along the Caledonian Canal boat movements through Laggan Locks have now resumed.

Update 11th June 2022

Due to high winds on the Caledonian Canal, Scottish Canals has taken the decision to temporarily stop boat movements through Laggan Locks, Spean bridge on the morning of Saturday 11th June 2022 for the safety of both boaters and members of staff.

We will review the weather throughout the day and hope to have Laggan Locks open as soon as it is safe to do so.
