Towpath Upgrade – New Cycleway at Baird’s Brae, Glasgow

Work to create a new cycleway at Baird’s Brae on the Forth & Clyde Canal in Glasgow will commence on 13th June 2016 and is expected to take around 10 weeks to complete.

The towpath will remain open throughout, although some restrictions may apply during peak periods.

The new path will remove the need to cycle on the cobbled street and will link directly onto the Forth and Clyde Canal towpath, improving access between the canal towpath, Applecross Street, The Whisky Bond and Possil Road.

To ensure the safety of all towpath users and our contractors, please obey signage and follow any instructions given onsite.
