Take Part

We are looking for up to 100 of the best amateur BMX, parkour and skateboard talent in Scotland and the UK to take part and showcase their skills in the first ever Youth Urban Games as part of Scotland’s Year of Young People 2018.

Parkour athletes will flip, jump and roll through a series of demos, while BMX and skateboard athletes will be judged for their style and skill in a series of stunts demonstrated by world-class international athletes.

Don’t worry if you haven’t got the skills to take part, we’ll also have some try-out sessions for you to get a taste of each of the sports! There will also be lots of exciting events as part of the Glasgow Canal Festival.

Year of Young People

Scotland’s first ever Year of Young People is happening in 2018. It aims to inspire all ages through its young people (8-26) by celebrating their achievements, valuing their contributions to communities and creating new opportunities for them to shine on a local and global stage. The Year of Young People 2018 will offer even more opportunities for both locals and visitors to enjoy a trip to, and around Scotland.
