Crinan Canal winter works 2023/4
- Refurbishment program of welfare bothies for purpose of water control management.
- Refurbishment of car parks surfaces.
- Clearing of culverts, ditches, and weirs along the canal – Bellanoch bay, Linnet to Oakfield, Carprak 10 and any other identified ditches all to be cleared.
- Servicing Reservoir maintenance with culvert, ditch, weir clearance on 9 reservoirs and damn faces.
- Refurbishment of cill signs along the full canal.
- Painting updates / improvements across the Crinan Canal.
- Vegetation management to allow safe navigation of the canal.
- Provide resource for the full canal winter flail for contractors – cutting and chipping both sides of the whole canal.
