Lighting up Scottish Canals' landmarks is a great way of promoting major events and good causes.
The Kelpies/The Falkirk Wheel Light Up Requests: Please note that due to resources we are currently not taking external lighting requests for The Kelpies or The Falkirk Wheel until after April 30, 2024.
Lighting up The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel
As two of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel are frequently asked to support a wide range of events and occasions, from charitable awareness days to sporting achievements, usually by displaying a certain colour on a given date in coordination with other landmarks.
We’re often asked to light up The Kelpies and The Falkirk Wheel, two of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, in a particular colour on a given date to support everything from charitable awareness days to sporting achievements.
So as not to diminish the impact and, in turn, the benefits to the good causes we support, we try to limit our light ups to once per month.
Please note: lighting is subject to change as part of light ups in support of world events.
Apply to light up a landmark
In order to assist in the decision making process, please us the light up our landmark form so we can consider your request. If The Kelpies or The Falkirk Wheel have been lit up for your cause previously, please note that we will be unlikely to grant your application in order to use the sculptures to promote as many causes as possible.
Please submit your request at least two months prior to your requested date. Requests received outwith this timeframe are unlikely to be able to be granted.
