The Treehouse is a brand new, purpose-built combined office, meeting space and training room facility which opened in Inverness in the Spring of 2023. It is a landmark building in the regeneration of Muirtown Basin on the Caledonian Canal.

Situated on the base of the canal embankment, this Scottish Canals led partnership project has transformed a long-term vacant and derelict site on Carsegate Road within Carse Industrial Estate on the edge of South Kessock into a bespoke Centre serving the communities of South Kessock, Merkinch, Scorguie and Dalneigh areas of Inverness and the wider Inverness area.

Combined with the Treehouse Building a range of Towpath, Footpath and Public Access works were undertaken to create accessible routes and improve the pedestrian and wheeled user experience on the canal and its linkages with the Merkinch Local Nature Reserve and surrounding Communities.
