How do we decide?
We need to prioritise the projects that pose the biggest safety risk to the public, customers and staff, and the projects that offer the greatest public value.
We do not have the resources to do all that we would like to do.
This means we need to prioritise our works accordingly to ensure the safety of the public, our customer and staff, and deliver projects that bring the widest possible benefits for all the people of Scotland. The diagram below sets out how we go through this process.
