The Metropolitan Glasgow Strategic Drainage Partnership (MGSDP) is a multi-agency partnership working to deliver a range of projects addressing existing drainage infrastructure, water issues and flooding throughout metropolitan Glasgow, which encompasses seven local authority areas.
These projects include flood alleviation, river water quality improvement, and environmental improvement schemes. The MGSDP is also undertaking a range of studies and research as part of their development plan.
Scottish Canals will play a dynamic role, which will see the canals contribute more public value than ever before, enhancing the partnership’s ability to consider innovative solutions to mitigate flooding and support economic growth and environmental improvements across the metropolitan Glasgow area.
