Tree Safety Works on the Union Canal – Edinburgh
From Friday 22 August, essential tree safety works will be taking place along the Edinburgh stretch of the Union Canal.
The contractors will be sectionally felling and cutting these trees, working at height within the tree canopy. To support this operation, a Scottish Canals workboat will be on site, assisting from the water. Boaters are kindly asked to pause and make their presence known to the team before passing through the work areas.
There will be temporary restrictions in place at various locations along the canal between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Please plan your journey accordingly and follow any signage or guidance from staff on site.
