Crinan Canal - Temporary Towpath Diversion - Tree Felling

To support the safe removal of a large tree on nearby private property, a temporary diversion will be in place on the Crinan Canal towpath between Lock 2 and Lock 3 on Saturday 17 January.

While the tree works are underway, cyclists and pedestrians will be asked to cross from the west bank to the east bank at Lock 2, follow the towpath along the east side, and then rejoin the main route by crossing back over Lock 3. Clear signage will guide you along the diversion.

We expect the work to be completed by late Saturday afternoon, and the towpath will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
