Scottish Canals enjoys working with more than 400 volunteers per year. In return for your time, commitment, enthusiasm and expertise, we provide opportunities to gain unique experience, develop new skills and make a real difference in your communities.

We have a duty of care towards everyone on Scotland’s canals. As part of this, we have a volunteer management process which minimises risks to volunteers and Scottish Canals, while enabling volunteers to enjoy the experience of working on our network.
