Perched on the banks of the River Clyde in West Dunbartonshire, Bowling Harbour is the western gateway to the historic Forth & Clyde Canal.

Perched on the banks of the River Clyde in West Dunbartonshire, Bowling Harbour is the western gateway to the historic Forth & Clyde Canal.
Set in the shadow of the Kilpatrick Hills and with stunning views of the Clyde Estuary, the pretty canal basin has been a thriving marine and industry hub for more than two centuries, playing host to everything from midget submarines to fishing fleets.
Today, the harbour is a thriving tourism and leisure destination, with the arches of the iconic, 120-year-old railway bridge that dominates the area transformed into premises for an array of shops, cafes and activity hubs. The canal itself welcomes an array of boats, from miniature Clyde Puffers to houseboats keen to sample the many appeals of the area.
