Revolution Festival returns to The Falkirk Wheel to celebrate sports in Scotland
Excitement is building as the much-loved Revolution Festival returns to The Falkirk Wheel on Saturday 23rd May, running from 9:30am to 4pm, bringing with it a fresh burst of energy and a brand-new sporting theme.
This year’s event will transform into a vibrant sports day celebration, marking an incredible year for sport in Scotland. With the nation proudly hosting the Commonwealth Games and gearing up for the World Cup, the festival will tap into that national buzz, creating a day that’s all about participation, passion, and community spirit.
The Falkirk Wheel will host a range of interactive sports challenges delivered in partnership with local clubs and organisations. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of activities, from e-boat rides and crazy golf to archery, stand-up paddleboarding, and even a fire engine for photo opportunities. Whether you’re keen to test your skills, try something new, or simply soak up the atmosphere from the sidelines, there’s something for all ages and abilities.
Alongside the sporting action, the festival will feature live music performances, a wide variety of delicious food, and plenty of opportunities to relax and soak up the atmosphere. It’s set to be a great celebration of our local community, but this time with a competitive edge.
Scottish Canals are especially excited to see local talent and friendly rivalries come to life throughout the day, as teams, families, and friends take part in light-hearted challenges.

It’s also a huge year for Scottish Canals, who are celebrating 25 years since the Millennium Link project - an £83.4 million canal restoration project which led to the creation of The Falkirk Wheel.
