Situated on the southernmost tip of the iconic Loch Ness, the “Lock Chambers” at the Caledonian Canal Centre in Fort Augustus are the perfect venue whether you are seeking a peaceful spot for an overnight rest stop after taking on the challenge of the Great Glen, or looking for a unique base to explore all the myths and marvels of the Scottish Highlands.
The venue has seven rooms all with their own unique personality – from the Loch Oich which sleeps three to Nessie and Neptune which can join together to sleep six. The rooms are all beautifully designed and decorated with a great blend of modern style and traditional fabrics to make the modern traveller feel at home.
Loch Dochfour
Named after one of the four lochs which make up the Caledonian Canal, the Loch Dochfour room sleeps 2 people (king size bed) and offers an en-suite shower room.
Nevis
Named after the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis, the Nevis room sleeps 2 people (king size bed) and offers an en-suite shower room.
Nessie
Named after the infamous Loch Ness Monster, the Nessie room sleeps 4 people (2 bunk beds) and offers an en-suite shower room. This room can be joined together with the Neptune room to create a larger suite, suitable for a family or group.
Neptune
Named after the impressive Neptune’s Staircase, the Neptune room sleeps 2 people (1 double bed or twin beds) and offers an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room can be joined together with the Nessie room to create a larger suite, suitable for a family or group.
Loch Ness
Named after the most famous loch in Scotland, the Loch Ness room sleeps 4 people (1 double or twin beds and bunk beds) and offers and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room also boasts an outside terrace with amazing views over the Fort Augustus and the River Oich.
Loch Oich
Named after one of the four lochs which make up the Caledonian Canal, the Loch Oich room sleeps 3 people (1 double or 2 twin beds and a single sofa bed) and offers an en-suite shower room.
Loch Lochy
Named after one of the four lochs which make up the Caledonian Canal, the Loch Lochy room sleeps 2 people (king size bed) and offers an en-suite shower room as well as a free standing bath in the bedroom. This room also boasts an outside terrace with amazing views over the Fort Augustus and the River Oich.
