Watch as the wheel comes alive after sunset, embark on hidden treks throughout the grounds, uncover immersive light installations and enjoy a captivating water and lights show that brings the iconic landscape to life.Â

See the Wheel in a whole new light ✨
As dusk falls, the basin of the Falkirk Wheel will be transformed into a stage of water, light and laser effects, bringing the iconic setting to life in a captivating and immersive spectacle. Â
Complementing the show, an enhanced walking trail will guide visitors through the landscape with dynamic lighting. Designed to inspire exploration and adventure, the illuminated journey will invite visitors to awaken the adventurer in all of us.Â

Step back to a simpler time and get ready to relive the biggest hits of the noughties at our unforgettable Silent Disco experience. We'll bring the party if you bring the moves! The Visitor Centre will be transformed into an immersive disco destination, complete with sparkling disco balls, atmospheric fog effects and a vibrant party atmosphere that transports guests straight back to the golden age of 2000s music.Â

What are the dates?
The event will take place from Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th September.
Is there parking available?
Yes parking is available on site for ÂŁ4 per vehicle on a first come, first served basis. We encourage attendees to walk where possible or carpool. A map of where you can park will be provided.
What's included in the ticket price?
The ticket price includes entry to the site for the trek and water show. Add-ons are available for activities and food when you're in the venue. Either pre-book to skip queues or pay on the day
Will there be boat tours running?
No, the wheel will be in rotation mode without any boats in the gondolas.
Are their carers tickets available?
Yes, we permit 1 carer ticket per order. To claim this, please email illumin8@scottishcanals.co.uk to receive a token code which will take ÂŁ18.50 off the order total.
How long can I access the site for?
You're welcome to stay as long as you like, but we anticipate to see everything and take part in activities, it's around 90 minutes.Â
Is it dog friendly?
We love your pups, but there will be a lot of light activity and we don't want to spook them so on this occasion no pets will be allowed on site.Â
Is the event accessible for prams and wheelchairs?
For the majority, yes! The only part which isn't fully accessible is the wooded trek which is an off the grid trek through the woods where surfaces aren't flat.Â
If you plan on bringing your little ones, we encourage you to use baby carries as opposed to prams to help the trek flow more smoothly for everyone.Â
Do I have to pre-book additional activities?
No, but it will create a smoother experience for you. You can pay for the silent disco, boat trip or any other activity on the evening but it may include longer wait times, as pre-bookings will get faster access.Â
How do I pay for extra activities at the event?
We accept both card and cash.Â
Can I change my ticket date/time?
To keep things moving smoothly, you will only be able to attend your allocated time and date slot. We have a 15 minute grace period, but if you arrive outside of your slot, you may experience longer wait times.Â
What if it's bad weather?
The event will be designed to go ahead regardless of the weather unless we're exposed to severe weather warnings. We're in Scotland, we can handle a little rain... Right?
