Parking
Our main car park is on site and has 4 separate car lots, plus the Upper Deck which is primarily for the use of motorhomes and caravans and a separate coach park. There is a charge of ÂŁ3.50 per day for parking. This payment helps to maintain The Falkirk Wheel and safeguard Scotland's canals for future generations to enjoy.
Some overnight parking is available for a fee of ÂŁ15 per night, with a ÂŁ20 key deposit. Please arrange parking and collect keys from our Visitor Centre during opening hours.
Disabled parking
We have a limited number of car park spaces dedicated for Blue Badge holders, located right outside the entrance to the Visitor centre (20-30m distance), which are available on a first-come basis. The ground here is paved and has little or no incline.

By car
For Sat Nav enter FK1 4RS
From Edinburgh – take the M9 west for Stirling. Exit at Junction 8 of the motorway, and follow the brown and white tourist signage for The Falkirk Wheel.
From Glasgow – from the M80, then M876 and exit M876 at Junction 1. Follow signs for Falkirk and then the brown and white tourist signage for The Falkirk Wheel.
From the North – Follow the M9 south and take junction 9 (Stirling Services). At the large roundabout, take the fourth exit for The Falkirk Wheel and Denny (A872). Continue to follow the brown and white tourist signs.
We have one electronic vehicle charging point available for public use, facilitated by Charge Place Scotland. The maximum stay is 4 hours. The charger is in our Upper Deck car park. What3Words: ///quietest.narrate.smoke

By public transport
There are regular train services from Glasgow, Edinburgh Perth and Stirling to Falkirk stations. Visit ScotRail for timetables and tickets.
Local bus services no longer run directly to or from The Falkirk Wheel. McGills busses, route numbers 7 and 8 will take you to Ochiltree Terrace, which is just a short walk from The Falkirk Wheel.

By bike
The Falkirk Wheel can be accessed from the Forth & Clyde and Union Canal towpaths, or by public road.

By water
The Falkirk Wheel can be reached by canal along the Union Canal or the Forth & Clyde.
By foot
The Falkirk Wheel can be accessed from the Forth & Clyde and Union Canal towpaths. It is approximately a 2.5mile walk from either Falkirk Grahamston or Falkirk High Stations.
