Narrow Escapes is back for a third series, setting sail on its most ambitious journey yet, and for the first time crossing the border into Scotland’s spectacular waterways.
Launched on Monday 1st June on Channel 4, the new 20-part series will air weekdays at 4pm, and be available to stream weekly on Channel 4’s online streaming service.
This series marks a major milestone for the show, expanding beyond England and Wales to explore Scotland’s iconic canals and lochs.
From the remarkable engineering feat of the Falkirk Wheel to the legendary waters of Loch Ness, the series captures the scale, beauty and unique challenges of life afloat in Scotland. These new episodes showcase a fresh side of Britain’s canal network, opening up new landscapes, stories and possibilities for boaters and viewers alike.
This year’s Scottish adventures include:
- Cousins from Linlithgow, Graham and Caroline travelling up the Caledonian Canal through the Scottish Highlands via narrowboat, before climbing aboard a Le Boat cruiser and setting sail on the iconic Loch Ness
- Returners Peter and Noni journeying to Scotland on the Union Canal, via the epic Falkirk Wheel
Alongside its Scottish adventures, the series continues to follow a diverse cast of people embracing life on the water across the UK. From solo explorers to families and entrepreneurs, Narrow Escapes offers an intimate look at the motivations, rewards and realities of living afloat.
Produced by Bowled Over Media with Motion Content, Narrow Escapes Series 3 promises more of its signature blend of adventure, resilience and heart, offering viewers a unique window into one of Britain’s most distinctive ways of life, with Scotland providing an exciting new frontier for the series.
