Edinburgh Union Canal Strategy 2024-2029

Scottish Canals have teamed up with Edinburgh Union Canal Partnership to deliver the refreshed Edinburgh Union Canal Strategy 2024-2029.

The strategy explores key opportunities and challenges, as well as how we can work with our canalside partners to deliver on future ambitions.

This new strategy comes at a time where the Union Canal as it has become a bustling hub of activity since its repair in 2001. User numbers have increased rapidly, making it a key site for active travel.
