Restoration of the Union Inn, Camelon, Falkirk
The Union Inn is a Category B listed building located on Portdownie Road, close to Lock 16 (Camelon) on the Forth & Clyde Canal in Falkirk. Once a key social and operational landmark of the canal, it now requires comprehensive redevelopment to bring it back to life.Â

Union Canal: Fountainbridge Towpath Improvements
Scottish Canals has completed major towpath improvements at Fountainbridge in Edinburgh. The project upgrades a key section of the Union Canal, improving access for people who walk, wheel and cycle, as well as for boaters using the canal.Â
Falkirk Five Trail
Thanks to funding from Falkirk Council, made available through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, we have created a new 5km active travel route around The Falkirk Wheel with community designed art benches and bike racks installed at regular intervals around the trail.
Lock 16 - Scotland's Centre of Excellence for Canals & Traditional Skills
This place-based regeneration project will see the vacant and underutilised site of the former AG Barr Factory in Camelon, Falkirk, transformed into a new low-carbon facility on the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal.
